Spherical Tanks and Gas Holders

Spherical tanks and gas holders are designed to utilize their geometric shape to evenly distribute the internal pressure caused by compressed contents. This structural efficiency makes them ideal for high-pressure storage.
Spherical tanks are commonly used to liquefy and store substances such as propane and butane at ambient temperature under medium pressure, and ammonia or liquefied carbon dioxide at ambient temperature under high pressure. In contrast, spherical gas holders are used to store city gas in its gaseous state.

Spherical Tanks and Gas Holders DETAIL

We verify the seismic performance of our tanks not only through our proprietary seismic structural analysis program, but also through detailed analysis using the finite element method (FEM). Since 1955, we have delivered approximately 800 spherical tanks and gas holders in Japan, China, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Peru, and more.
