Ishii Iron Works traces its roots back to about 125 years ago, in 1900, when founder Takichi Ishii established a metalworking shop in the Tsukishima area of Tokyo, and began production of boilers and storage tanks.
Since then, we have grown alongside Japan’s industrial development, establishing a solid presence both domestically and internationally by delivering proven engineering and construction excellence for storage tanks and plant facilities—ensuring safe energy and petrochemical storage.
Our core product, storage tanks and plant facilities, has earned high praise for their outstanding performance not only in Japan but also in global markets, where we are known widely as a “Ishii of Tanks.”
Our corporate motto, “Technological Contributions for the World,” has been carried forward since the era of our founder, Takichi Ishii. Even as times change, this principle has remained a part of our DNA—a corporate mission of contributing technologically to the world.
With global warming posing a serious challenge, we are dedicated to fulfilling our role as a provider of energy infrastructure to help build a sustainable society. We are steadily advancing a range of initiatives to support the transition toward a carbon-neutral society (green transformation, or GX), such as providing low-temperature tanks for fuel ammonia, resilient facilities capable of withstanding earthquakes and tsunamis in disaster-prone Japan, and maintenance solutions to safely maintain and manage aging energy infrastructure. In doing so, we will continue to support Japanese industry.
Moving forward, we will continue to hone our technological capabilities and strive to deliver new value to all of our customers.
